Digital and Lithographic Books

Large, full colour, printed books are a popular reminder of your event. I set these out, using industry standard Adobe InDesign software, whilst working with the client to get the best match of images together. Once the proof has been agreed and signed off the file can be uploaded for printing. This is normally by the digital process where short runs (as few as one copy) are commercially viable with appropriate quality.

If demand warrants it, books can be arranged to be printed by the lithographic process and commercially bound - this is unlikely to be viable for less than 500 copies.

Some examples can be seen below.

Typically 40 spreads with 80 pages of images - some pages having multiple images - hard back and 30cm square.

This book, "A Wild Life" was commissioned by the late Sir Anthony Milbank of Barningham Estate to be a record of the species diversity following many years of proactive conservation.

It is A3 in size, contains over 200 images spread over 160 pages with his accompanying text. I took the photographs over a period of two years with a further few months to agree the layout and content before the master file could be sent to the lithographic printers.

All of the copies that were printed have been sold - one day there may be a re-print. It now serves as a historic record of the Estate and I wonder what future generations will make of it when the effects of climate change are realised.
