Licence Fees

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, my images are not sold, but licensed - thus granting permission for the images to be used. Images are "rights managed" for specific one-time uses, such as on a web site, in a book, publication etc.

For web-site use, licensing includes exclusive use of the image(s) for the first year and may be used as often as required (on multiple pages) within the same domain without restrictions. All images are supplied as maximum quality, sRGB files to agreed size (usually 800x600px) in jpeg format. Images may also be resized, colour changed, cropped etc to meet the needs of the site.

Credit must be given somewhere on the website that the original image is copyrighted by Calico Images - for example "Some images are © Calico Images - www.calicoimages.co.uk" - not necessarily on the same page as the image(s).

A 50% discount is applied to images used on a different domain but with the same owner.

Images can be supplied for print - magazines, books, brochures, etc. - to the size, format and quality required by the printer. Costs are determined on an individual basis dependent on usage and circulation. High quality, Giclée prints to archival standards can also be provided.
