November 2020

2nd - Not quite the full moon - too much cloud last night....

4th - This heron is quite persistent....

5th - One day this will be a flourishing climbing rose.... It has taken the goat willow about three years to get from twig to this size.

5th - Still some heather blooming while this apple refuses to drop!

5th - Funghi doing well on the wood pile - as well as the lawn!

5th - Some lovely splashes of colour in various places.

7th - Still a little colour in the front garden... and to think I thought the Fuschia was dead.

7th - Some berries for when the birds need them.

7th - A lucky series of shots - saw the grey wagtail arrive from the kitchen window (and for once said window was clean!) - it stayed for at least 2 minutes in total....

9th - There are a pair of tawny owls in the chimney next door - which explains why I have so few jackdaws at the moment. They keep looking in my owl box but suspect they prefer the central heating of the chimney!

10th - Some funghi are looking good while others don't seem quite so appetising...

10th - Is it global warming that has these blooms at this time of year?

17th - No sooner have the leaves fallen off the goat willow than it is budding again - what price a frost? Even have an early primrose while the bidens are still showing nicely. Even the globe thistle appears to be blooming....

17th - Nice to see this growth on trees that are about 6 years old - the air quality must be reasonable up here?

19th - Finally got the chippings to add to the base of the pergolas - that on the left is wisteria and that on the right is a climbing rose. Come back next year to see what happens!

19th - Got fed up with young heron getting under the net to go fishing so have resorted to some wire around the edge of the pond to try and keep said heron from the fish.....time will tell if successful!

22nd - Is this really in the garden? Half a moon.

28th - Not sure how well it shows, but first time the bird bath has frozen over this side of summer.

29th - The fuschia still has some flowers despite the winds of earlier in the month and still some berries around! The clean air does the lichens well.
