4th - The Wisteria seems to be growing still. Hoverfly on Holly.
6th - Red Admiral and Tortoiseshell enjoying the late heather.

6th - Broad leaved heliborine - fungi on the lawn (spot the fly?)
6th - Ladybird hiding in the heather. Very small insects of leaf edges.

9th - Fungi are doing well on the Buddleia and in the bark mulch.
9th - Still have roses in bloom! Fellowship is the first one.
9th - Amazing how delicate and intricate the flower of the heather is when up close. Still being used by insects - even very small ones!

9th - This spider on the tip of a leaf must be all of 3mm long - incredible.
11th - Growth on a branch of a willow. Yello rose still flowering. Berries on the cotoneaster.
13th - Mushrooms on the wood chippings.
15th - I continue to be amazed at these small spiders - especially the red one that appears to be carrying a yellow mite.
15th - Lovely pink lichen patch amongst the grey and yellows.

19th - Was in the pond sorting out a pump when I was distracted by the lovely Southern Hawker.
27th - Owl box access has been opened up - will they come back? Still flowers and lillies at this time of year.
30th - The grey heron came back - a day later than last year! A good crop of mushrooms at the moment.
31st - Heron back again today - suspect we may have him for the winter!
